eBay Promo Codes

eBay drops sitewide and seller coupons regularly, often as a percentage off with a cap. These are the active codes we're tracking today.

How eBay discounts stack

eBay codes are sitewide but rarely stack with each other. One coupon applies per order, and it applies to the item total rather than to shipping. What does combine is a seller's own markdown or an accepted Best Offer with an eBay-issued coupon, since those are funded by different parties — that combination is where the real value sits and is easy to miss because the Best Offer negotiation happens before you ever reach the coupon field. eBay Bucks and card-linked cash back sit outside the transaction and compound with whatever you paid.

What eBay codes don't cover

eBay coupons almost always exclude gift cards, coins and bullion, real estate, vehicles, business and industrial equipment above a threshold, and adult categories. Many carry a maximum discount cap that makes the headline percentage misleading on high-value items — a twenty-percent code capped at a modest amount is a flat discount in disguise on anything expensive, and the cap is usually in the fine print rather than the banner. Shipping and import charges are outside the discount.

When eBay actually discounts

eBay issues its broadest coupons around Black Friday and in the quieter mid-January and late-summer periods when listing volume is high and sell-through is low, which is when the platform most needs to stimulate demand. Its refurbished programme runs its own promotions and is the more consistent source of value than the sitewide codes, particularly on consumer electronics carrying a manufacturer-backed warranty. Auction endings cluster on Sunday evenings, so listings ending mid-week attract fewer bidders.

Sitewide or per-listing?

eBay is one of the few retailers here that genuinely issues sitewide codes, which is why a code from eBay is worth more of your attention than one from a store that only does per-listing promotions. The catch is the discount cap and the single-use-per-account limit — plan the largest eligible purchase around a code rather than spending it on a small one. Codes here are listed with their caps and conditions where published.

Is a code the best discount at eBay?

A sitewide eBay code is worth using, but it is not where the biggest savings are. Those come from search technique: misspelled listings, poorly photographed items, auctions ending at unsociable hours, and sellers who have not researched what they hold. A code trims a percentage; a badly listed item can be a fraction of market price. Our guide to finding hidden gems on eBay covers the search patterns that surface those, which compound with any code you happen to hold.

Retailer terms change without notice. Treat the above as what to check rather than as a guarantee, and confirm the current terms on the retailer's own page before you rely on them.
